Not too much going on. Guns Down is moving forward. Jeff learned two more songs, leaving only four from our back catalog to learn. We started writing a new tune with Jeff and that is going well. We have a show this Sunday, and another September 20th.

NameMeNoone hasn't practiced in awhile. Hopefully we will tonight.

Only from the Cold seems to moving along. We got to move back into the sheds which is nice. I missed the last practice because I had things to do to get ready for Tony's (ex-twice guitarist) wedding. With those shows coming up in October, I hate to miss any practice time with that band.

Pulled double duty last night practicing with NameMeNoone and Only from the Cold. And I'll be doing the same tonight with Guns Down and Only from the Cold. I am starting to have some trouble with time management. I can't seem to find enough hours in the day to do all the things I need and want to do.

Des and I went to Tony's wedding Saturday. It was alright. I hate those kinds of social situations because I’m awkward and never know how to talk to people. My friend Amy was there. I haven't seen her in a long time. I enjoyed catching up with her, but it was a bit odd. A lot of time has passed and I am not sure we still know each other.

The new Mastodon CD is ruining my life right now. Better than I thought it would be by light years.

I had to help my folks clean out my loser brother’s storage unit this weekend. I thought they should just let the storage company auction his stuff off since he couldn't (or wouldn't) pay the bill. I'm glad my folks didn't listen to me this time. In his unit my brother had two dressers that were part of the original Mapes Hotel furniture. Apparently his ex-wife's uncle owned the building at one time and he took a bunch of the furniture. My brother ended up with these two pieces. Now I have one and my Mom took the other. Pretty cool.

My parents are planning on selling the house I spent my life from 12 to 19 in so they are cleaning up a bunch of junk from the basement and getting it ready to be shown to potential buyers. In with the "junk" was my grandmother’s old Kodak Brownie 2a box camera. My Mom wanted me to have it. It's a pretty neat look into the history of photography. I wonder if I can still get film for it.
Went to Guns Down practice last night, but we didn't get to practice. My Laney amp took a dump. Now I have no guitar amps at all. The Vox combo amp I did most of the Guns Down show with took a crap on me a few practices ago. Perfect.

I've decided to a series of "web episodes" in the fiction section. I posted the first one today. I'll keep each one up until I finish the next part. After I take an episode down, I'll put in an archive. Let me know what you think!!

Got the Laney amp up and running (sort of). I did double duty last night with NameMeNoone and Only from the Cold. The shed next to us houses several bands, not sure who was practicing in there last night, but they rocked. I'll have to find out who they are. They did a great Minor Threat cover.

The longer it takes to get the book out the more I second guess every aspect of it. Today I re-did (for the 3rd time) the back cover. I have stopped going through and re-editing the stories. I am waiting for Ryan to finish his editing process before I do any more edits on my own.

So it turns out being in three full time bands is tough. I have little to no free time. In the end I think it's worth it. Music is a great release for my creativity and anger.

The Only from the Cold shows in October seem to be falling through. In the long runs it’s OK, we aren’t ready. Shannon the guitarist is sort of flakey and we have missed a few practices.
